The P-525 offers the handy Registration Memory function that allows you to save settings and recall them quickly, making it perfect for intimate live performances. You can quietly programme all your favourite voices and rhythms at home and activate them with ease on the spot when you're ready to perform. Moreover, easily switching voices mid-song makes performing even more versatile. With additional features like Sound Boost and adjustable EQ, the P-525 ensures that your piano sounds clear and powerful, even when playing together with other instruments in a band.
Share your piano performance via Rec'n'Share
If you like to create music videos to share on social media platforms like YouTube or TikTok, you can do so very easily via the Rec'n'Share function. By connecting the P-525 piano to your smartphone or tablet, you can record video and audio at the same time.
Exceptional sound quality
The new two-way speaker system produces a clear piano sound, without distortion or noise. The speakers are also even more inward-facing, so that you as a pianist are more inside the sound. Bass-reflex ports and sound-absorbing tubes are used so that speaker background noise is significantly reduced.
The P-525 is also the first digital piano to feature an FIR filter, which ensures that people in the same room as the pianist can hear a natural and pleasant piano sound.
Finally, the P-525 is also equipped with Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC), which automatically adjusts the sound quality according to your volume settings. The feature also works when you use headphones, making it more pleasant and ensuring that you can practise comfortably for longer periods of time.
Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial samples
The Yamaha P-525 features samples from the world-famous Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand pianos. Bösendorfer is a famous Viennese piano manufacturer, founded in 1828, which became the property of Yamaha. The Yamaha CFX is characterised by a bright and expressive sound, while the Bösendorfer Imperial has a more charming and warm timbre. All 88 keys were sampled very precisely, making the harmonious nuances of the instruments stand out very well.
The GrandTouch-S keyboard with wooden keys
The new GrandTouch-S keyboard with wooden keys of the Yamaha P-525, offers the pianist a very authentic and realistic playing feeling. The white and black keys are made of synthetic ivory and ebony and therefore have a strong absorbing effect, which will also reduce the risk of playing mistakes. The keyboard is equipped with an escapement (let-off) mechanism, just like a real acoustic piano.
Virtual Resonance Modelling (VRM)
Thanks to Yamaha's groundbreaking Virtual Resonance Modelling technology, the sound and resonance of a real grand piano is recreated in a unique way. This takes into account all the interactions that take place within the instrument such as the vibration of the strings, the sound box the soundboard, sounds from dampers and pedals.
Grand Expression Modelling
Thanks to this technology, the impact of the pianist's playing technique on the sound reproduction is simulated. Similar to an acoustic piano, the intensity and speed of the touch creates limitless sound variation, adding an extra dimension to the musical experience.
Smart Pianist app
The Smart Pianist app can be downloaded free of charge for use on tablets and smartphones. The application offers a user-friendly, graphical interface and many additional features for smooth use of your Yamaha P-525.
Bluetooth Audio and MIDI
Use music apps on your Bluetooth device to play songs through the P-525's speakers, or even play along. You can even connect to the instrument wirelessly using Yamaha's Smart Pianist app.
Optional accessories
The P-525 can optionally be combined with L-515 stand and the LP-1 triple pedal unit (including damper pedal with half-pedal function), which has the same operation as an acoustic grand piano. The new stand-alone FC-35 triple pedal unit can be used separately, without the stand.
